Does Stephen Harper Have Questionable Allies?

“Speaking in the House of Commons during question period, Harper described the current international effort to combat ISIL as ‘a counterterrorism military operation’ led by the United States in consultation with NATO and Arab allies.”
Lee Berthiaume, Ottawa Citizen, October 1, 2014.

Some of these “allies” that Stephen Harper supports and consults with, also have, according to various reports, supported ISIL

“Lest we forget, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, have been financing and training the ISIL terrorists on behalf of the United States.  Israel is harbouring the Islamic State in the Golan Heights, NATO in liaison with the Turkish high command has since March 2011 been involved in coordinating the recruitment of  the jihadist fighters dispatched to Syria. Moreover, the ISIL brigades are integrated by Western special forces and military advisers....” [1] Prof Michael Chossudovsky
Global Research, September 25, 2014.

And an article in the Asia Times of Sep 22, 2014, had the headline: “How Syrian jihad spawned Islamic State” by Nauman Sadiq. This article went on to say,

“Last year the chiefs of staff of the US, Britain, France, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey met in Jordan; and a report by UAE's newspaper... also mentions the existence of a secret command center in Jordan which is staffed by military officials from 14 Western and Arab countries including Israel. This command center coordinates the operations of the rebels (jihadis) in southern Syria; while the operations of the jihadis in northern Syria are coordinated by similar command centers and bases in Turkey....” [1]

And Press TV had the headline: “The United States’ biggest 'allies' are funding ISIL” This article stated:

“US President Barack Obama’s authorization of airstrikes on ISIS targets in Iraq serves as an opportunity to remind ourselves which countries are bankrolling the deadly terror group.
The answer: Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Turkey and Qatar – three of the United States’ biggest allies in the region.”

One wonders, what does Mr. Harper think about all this? His “allies” are reportedly “bankrolling the deadly terror group.” And arms have also been sold to Saudi Arabia which has been reportedly been “financing and training the ISIL terrorists”

“The latest arms deal between Canada and Saudi Arabia exposes the ideological hypocrisy that underpins the Canadian Conservative Party's present foreign and trade policy.
The Ontario-based General Dynamics Land Systems (a subsidiary of the Virginia-based aerospace and defence company, General Dynamics) outbid Germany and France to win a US$10bn deal to export military hardware to Saudi Arabia, with a poor human rights record.” [2]

“The government of Canada has always stood with those who defend freedom, democracy, human rights, and the rule of law,” Stephen Harper [2]

There are numerous questions that need to be asked if all this double dealing and treachery by “allies” is true.
Could Canadian troops come under fire from weapons sold to “allies”?  Could ISIL get access to some of these weapons, as they are reportedly getting funding from some “allies?” Should some of our “allies” if found to be funding ISIL be put on trial for treason? Who is profiting from all this murder and bloodshed? Why is most of the corporate media covering up the connections between “allies” and ISIL?  Why are our spy agencies not broadcasting or exposing these connections between ISIL and “allies”?

“Our allies are up to their necks in complicity with terrorism, but as long as there is money to be made and weapons to sell, our rulers’ lips will remain stubbornly sealed.” Owen Jones, the Guardian, U.K. August 31, 2014.
